ATLANTA – U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., today announced yet another coalition of voters, this time Georgians who are 40 years old and younger and are dedicated to turning out the vote to support Isakson’s re-election on Nov. 8. A list of more than 200 leaders heading up the “Young Professionals for Isakson” coalition can be found here.
“Johnny Isakson has worked tirelessly to help lead Georgia’s status as the number one state to do business, and to young professionals, that translates to jobs and economic opportunities,” said Robert Lee, chairman of Georgia Young Republicans. “His work to expand the Port of Savannah, to level the playing field for businesses, his support of our colleges and universities and his work on behalf of all levels of education in Georgia is invaluable. I’m proud to be a part of his re-election team.”
“As a father, a grandfather and a businessman, I hear regularly from engaged citizens who are just entering the workforce and raising families, and I value their contributions,” said Isakson. “Many of these young leaders who have endorsed my campaign also serve as my key advisers, and their support means a great deal to me.”
Isakson has been a leading voice in the Senate on key issues affecting this age group, including helping to level the playing field for businesses to hire more employees, advocating for the expansion of remote learning opportunities, flexible work schedules and standards for child care providers.
Isakson’s campaign has gained the support of young professionals who are a part of the “Isakson Insider Network,” which included a series of speaking and social engagements for young professionals. Today’s announcement coincides with a “Get out the Vote” band party later this evening at the Park Bench Tavern in Atlanta, Ga., featuring 80’s cover band “The Breakfast Club” that is being hosted by members of Isakson Insider Network.
