ATLANTA – U.S. Senator and Senate candidate Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., today announced that he raised over $1.6 million in the first 90 days of 2015, and has more than $3.75 million cash on hand for his 2016 reelection campaign.
Following his strong 2016 campaign kickoff announcement last November, where he was surrounded by family, supporters and many of Georgia’s elected officials at the Georgia Capitol, today’s fundraising numbers show that Isakson’s longtime approach of traveling the state and never slowing during his service in the U.S. Senate or during campaign years has been successful.
“I am proud that Georgians continue to feel that I effectively represent their interests in Washington,” said Isakson. “I look forward to this campaign and supporting all those conservative candidates across the country who are also dedicated to keeping our Republican majority and taking back the White House.”
Isakson will again organize official support operations in all 159 Georgia counties. He is building his campaign for 2016 using the successful strategy from his elections in 2004 and 2010, when he won with nearly 57.9 percent and 58.3 percent of the vote, respectively.
