Isakson Launches First Television Ad: “Fighting for Georgia”

Aug 11, 2010

ATLANTA – U.S. Senator and Senate candidate Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., today launched his fall media campaign with the release of his first television ad, entitled “Fighting for Georgia.” The ad highlights voters explaining how Isakson fights for Georgia values at home and in Washington. The ad will air in the Albany, Augusta, Columbus, Macon and Savannah media markets.

“I am excited to kick off our fall campaign toward Election Day. With this ad, we are engaging in a critical debate about the direction and future of our country,” said Isakson. “This campaign will give Georgia voters a clear choice. Georgians will get to choose whether they want someone who represents their conservative values or someone who will push the Obama-Reid-Pelosi agenda of government health care, cap-and-trade energy taxes, skyrocketing debt, auto bailouts, jobless stimulus packages, terrorist trials in U.S. courts and forced unionization of private sector employees by repealing their secret ballot.” To view the television ad, please go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDinrJga0zU. The television ad script is below:

Script “Fighting for Georgia”(TV: 30)

Some in Washington stand on the sidelines

Not Johnny Isakson

He’s there every day fighting for Georgia

Our country, our conservative values

He fought to stop government-run health care

And the Washington liberals’ energy tax

He opposed the stimulus package

Supports a balanced budget

His Democratic opponent supports President Obama

And his liberal agenda

That’s why we’re supporting Johnny Isakson

That’s why I’m supporting Johnny Isakson

He doesn’t stand on the sidelines

He fights for Georgia

I’m Johnny Isakson and I approve this message

Isakson has built his campaign infrastructure and grassroots support by organizing in all 159 Georgia counties. It is the same strategy he used in 2004 when he won the election to the U.S. Senate with more votes than any candidate had ever received up to that point in the state of Georgia.
