Isakson Announces Statewide Grassroots Campaign

Organized in All 159 Georgia Counties for 2010 U.S. Senate Election

ATLANTA – U.S. Senator and Senate candidate Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., today announced that he is unveiling an extensive grassroots campaign that is organized in all 159 Georgia counties.

“Since before my election to the Senate five and a half years ago, I have been traveling the state listening to the people of Georgia and working hard to represent their values and principles in Washington,” said Isakson. “We appreciate the outpouring of support we have received so far and invite all Georgians to join us in our grassroots efforts.”

Isakson’s re-election campaign has built a network of county leadership committees across the state. Currently, over 40,000 people have joined Isakson’s team to re-elect him to a second term in the U.S. Senate. The Isakson grassroots organization also includes numerous affinity groups such as Educators for Isakson, Veterans for Isakson, Ag for Isakson and Law Enforcement for Isakson.

“I will continue to work to build our grassroots organization and invite everyone concerned about the future of our nation to join our effort,” said Isakson.

Isakson is building from the same successful strategy he used in 2004 when he won the election to the U.S. Senate with more votes than any candidate had ever received up to that point in the state of Georgia.
