Senator Isakson campaigns in Savannah

Georgia’s US Senator Johnny Isakson is getting a head start on the 2010 election.

Today he was stumping in the Coastal Empire at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. He was surrounded by supporters today on this his final stop of this week-long tour of the state.

“I love my state,” said Isakson. “I’ve served it for 30 years in the legislature. We are facing difficult times and difficult challenges and i want to be a part of business based solutions.”

Isakson, a republican, is running for his second term of office in the United States Senate.
